Baja´s 3rd International Aerospace Forum will be held in Mexicali, this upcoming November 15. CETYS University is the host for the Aerospace event.
The location of the event is part of the importance of the Mexican academia in the aerospace industry. Previous on this event, students from Centre Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Technology of the Autonomous University of Baja California launched an experimental rocket supervised by NASA in the desert area of Laguna Salada, within the municipality of Mexicali. The Mexican students in order to accomplish with their project cooperated with San Jose State University experts in California, USA.
The 3rd annual event in Mexicali, BC will bring suppliers and buyers to the region of California-Baja California and provide them with an overview of business opportunities in the aerospace industry.
Around 250 business meetings were scheduled with global leaders as Honeywell, UTC Aerospace Systems (Formerly Goodrich), GKN Aerospace, Gulfstream, Eaton, Zodiac, Rockwell Collins and Lockheed Martin among others.
The event also is intending to showcase the technical capabilities, logistics advantages and human capital available within the State of Baja California all this as a result of the manufacturing experience in aerospace Mexican Maquiladoras located in B.C.
The forum will include insightful presentations of industry experts: Tim Martin, VP Supply Chain and Strategic Initiatives UTAS and Michael Eilola, VP Americas Integrated Supply Chain Honeywell.
One day prior to the event and the day after the event, participants will have the opportunity to visit transnational aerospace companies located in Baja California in order to highlight the importance of parts and products for aircraft manufacturing in a Mexico Corporation.
